About Us

Wood and Kat have been together for almost a decade. Combining Wood's proficiency for photography with Kat's abilities in the digital art and media space. 

 

We set ourselves apart in the cosplay photography space firstly as a duo. Kat offers direction and assistance to cosplayers to make sure every hair is in place, offer pose suggestions and scouts for locations. Wood comes in with his ability to get dynamic angles and frames that make the retouching a minimum.

 

So what does that mean for you?

It has so far allowed us to provide shorter turn arounds on your proofing galleries and finished photos. It also lends a second opinion. Neither of us is hesitant to offer a suggestion that we think will provide you a better experience and outcome.

Why do you see so many of the same faces in our portfolio?

Simple, we are fun to work with! If you can't tell from some of our candid shots in the galleries we aren't here to take ourselves too seriously. Yes we are professionals but we find when our clients are more at ease we get better shots. We work really hard to ensure you are comfortable and will always ask permission before giving you feedback or moving any prop or costume piece. It is through mutual respect and appreciation for each others roles at a shoot that we truly make magic happen.

Do you only shoot at conventions?

Absolutely not! While our booking schedules are listed for conventions we shoot indoor and outdoor shoots year round in the Washington DC, Southern Maryland, and Northern Virginia Areas. Bookings outside conventions however are an hour minimum requirement.
